One year ago today

One year ago today I was at a Meatloaf concert. It was awesome! One year ago today I wasn't even engaged. Now I'm married with 2 children. It's amazing what has changed in one short year. Tomorrow is my 27th birthday. My husband proposed to me on my 26th birthday. I asked him how he was going to be able to top that this year and he just said he wasn't. My priorities have changed so much since the babies came. I love getting presents, but this year I really don't want anything. All I really wanted for myself was to be able to go see a movie with my husband and this weekend my dad and step-mom watched the kids so we could do that. It was so much fun. We saw The Village and I really enjoyed it. After the movie we went to eat and then went shopping.

My shopping habits have also changed. Now when ever I go, I'm looking for baby stuff. I love shopping for them. I can't wait for Christmas and they aren't even really old enough to enjoy it yet. I told my family that instead of getting stuff for me for my birthday they should get stuff for the babies.

Fall is in the air. I love this time of year when the season just starts to change. Fall is absolutely my favorite season and the anticipation of the holiday season with babies is almost too much. It makes me sad to think that my sister didn't have her shit together well enough to give the girls what they deserve. My hope for them is that they get to be part of a whole family experience. We have enough family on both sides to really give them that. They have both changed so much since they came and their progress is amazing. It just makes me smile to think about them.
